SIRIO Capital Partners operates at the intersection of fund management, advisory and investment — with a singular focus on emerging market fund managers.

We believe the most binding constraint on capital mobilisation in these markets is not a shortage of capital. It is the absence of durable, institutional-quality fund managers. Too many promising GPs fail or remain sub-scale before they can mature — and with them, the capital they would have mobilised never compounds.

SIRIO exists to change that equation. We design and launch funds on behalf of institutional mandates, advise managers as they grow, and invest directly at the GP level. Our work is informed by decades of experience across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and South Asia — and by the insights published in Mastering Emerging Market Funds by Jeroen Harteveld.

What We Do

Three disciplines.
One focus.

We design and launch emerging market funds on behalf of public and private mandates. When institutions need a dedicated fund vehicle for a specific market or strategy, SIRIO takes the mandate from concept to execution. We handle fund structuring, governance design, legal setup, operational infrastructure and ongoing management. We do not advise from a distance — we build and run the fund.

We invest in the next generation of African fund managers. SIRIO is developing Africa GP Fund I — a dedicated vehicle to back 15 African fund managers through minority GP-stakes investments and working capital. The fund targets first-time, emerging and established managers across green, inclusive and innovative sectors. The strategy intervenes at the GP economic layer: stabilising manager economics, accelerating institutionalisation and enabling the progression from promising local GP to durable franchise. The goal is to mobilise $3.0 billion in downstream capital through a portfolio of institutionalised African fund managers.

We advise fund managers at every stage of growth. Whether raising a first fund, navigating the transition to a second or third vehicle, or positioning for institutional capital at scale — SIRIO provides hands-on advisory across the areas that matter most: fundraising strategy, investor materials, LP engagement, governance, reporting and operational readiness.
